Why tile fails, and what we do about it
Edges you can feel
Lippage happens when the floor isn't flat or tiles aren't checked as they go down. We check flatness first and keep checking as we set.
Tiles that sound hollow
A hollow tile didn't get full support underneath, and it's usually the first one to crack. Every tile we set is fully bedded.
Grout lines that wander
Lines drift when the layout starts from a wall that isn't straight. We plan the layout from the room, not the wall.
How the job goes

The old surface comes out if it has to, and the base gets cleaned and flattened.

We mark the lines so the pattern sits centered and the cuts stay out of sight.

Can new tile go over my old tile?
Sometimes. If the old tile is flat and well bonded it can be an option. If not, it has to come out. We'll tell you which during the estimate.
How long does a tile job take?
It depends on the size of the area and how much prep the floor or wall needs. You get a timeline with your estimate.
